Prevent Distracted Teen Driving

Teknekk’s No Teen Texting While Driving Prevention is a vital feature to protect teenagers while they are involved in activities that require an awareness of their surroundings. Unfortunately, many young drivers take their eyes off the road while texting or browsing. Whether they are texting a friend a quick “lol” or taking a “selfie”, every second that they are not focused on the road is a second that could end in a tragic automobile accident. Not only can your child wind-up seriously injured, or worse, but they could also be responsible for the injury of others. This can be a truly traumatic experience for everyone involved, which is why using Teknekk’s No Teen Texting While Driving feature is the perfect solution.

How Does No Teen Texting While Driving Work?

This feature disables phone use after the phone reaches 7 mph or more. When the car comes to a stop, the screen unblocks. As such, teenagers cannot browse or text when driving a car — a privilege and important responsibility that deserve their undivided attention.

For safety, the “Call Mom, Call Dad, and Emergency Call” feature is enabled while the phone is blocked. Apps like Maps or Waze can be unblocked to allow navigation while driving. Our Teen Texting While Driving Prevention feature is designed for parents to help prevent high-speed auto accidents, and to protect their children from fatal and catastrophic injuries. Motor vehicle crashes are the number one cause of death for 16 to 24-year-olds, according to the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration.
